“The Lisa Wexler Show” began on September 30, 2006 on Coxradio’s WSTC/WNLK in Fairfield County, CT. with Governor Jodi Rell as the first guest. It originally was called “Lunch with Lisa”, and then “Live! with Lisa.” The show grew from a 60-minute show on Saturday mornings to its current airing 5 days a week, on Monday- Fridays from 4-6 PM. Lisa is the only woman on the station during prime-time. In addition, Lisa created a separate 2 hour show in New Haven on Yale Radio at AM 1340 WYBC on Friday mornings. In July of 2009, Moffly Media, publisher of the Greenwich, Stamford, Westport and New Canaan/Darien Magazines, named Lisa Wexler the “Gold Coast Best Radio Personality” as a result of their annual reader survey. Lisa won the highly prestigious Gracie Award in 2010 for her Gloria Steinem interview.
“The Lisa Wexler Show” is the realization of Lisa Wexler’s dream to host a radio show that would be live, informative and entertaining. The format is a combination of opinion, interview and call-ins from listeners. The only criteria for guests is that they be people who are doing something with their lives that they are passionate about and who wish to share something interesting or important with others. Lisa’s passion is to host authentic conversations among guests and the audience while showing respect for a variety of opinions on the same subject. She particularly loves politics, all things green, children’s issues, the advancement of women’s rights, and the theater. She also loves to laugh.
